Linda Massey has experienced that “above and beyond” herself—and it’s made a huge difference in her life.
When Health and Wellness Benefits Coordinator Lisa Sandor learned that Linda needed a new heating and cooling unit, she jumped into action.
“Lisa helped me apply for a new furnace and air conditioner through a City of Cleveland program—and I got it,” says Linda.
She also helped her apply to MetroHealth for assistance with medical bills.
“I’m not afraid to go to the doctor anymore because I have support paying for expenses,” Linda shares. “Whenever I have paperwork I don’t understand, Lisa helps me.”
Lisa helps patients address factors like housing, food or finances, for example, that could negatively impact overall well-being.
Linda started seeing Jeffrey Rosenberg, MD, after her previous doctor retired.
“Dr. Rosenberg is very approachable,” she says. “He gives me time to think and ask questions so I can make choices.”
She also appreciates his thoroughness. When she first came to him, she’d already had several kidney stone issues. He did blood work and realized she was in stage 4 kidney failure.
“Because he identified that, I was able to avoid dialysis,” Linda explains. “I got the right medications and the right specialists, and I very much appreciate that.”
